President Obama, democrats and republicans clearly do not. The health care bill recently signed into law clearly discriminates between a profession dominated by men and and a profession dominated by women. The health care bill pays the profession dominated by women 20% less than that dominated by men for performing the same task. This is discrimination.
The profession dominated by men is medical doctors, MDs, and the profession dominated by women is nurse practitioners, NPs. Almost all if not all of the tasks performed by NPs are also performed by MDs. The results are exactly the same, not different - the same charting, the same prescriptions, the same examinations, and on and on. There is no difference.
Yet, the laws of the land pay 20% less if a task if a nurse practitioner performs the task than if a medical doctor performs the task. Imagine paying a doctor of philosophy more than a person without a high school diploma for digging a ditch. For the most part the world does not work this way.
Yet here we have politicians of all stripes who pay women less than men for the same task. A pox on the politician's houses for this openly discriminatory practice.
