Over the the last few months I have noticed a distinct lack of civility and honest debate here at the Daily Kos--we have broken into two factions. One faction engages in civil debate in the great tradition of our founders, our constitution and our forefathers, while a rival faction of lying gasbags spew incoherent hate against all those that are noble and good.
I know that all factions have their faults, that those who are good and kind have been drawn out by the puss-filled, venomous rantings of the lunatic fringe and have, on occasion, said things that are unkind. So today I propose a balanced proposal that all--both the good people of this site, and the useless sacks of shit that troll the comments--follow the same code.
Be good to one another!
If my faction (along with the intemperate sacks of shit who persist in name calling) would only follow this one simple rule, our blog will transcend the piggish behavior of the ingrates that constitute at least half the trusted users.
I apologize for the need for a meta diary at this time, but we need to transcend our petty differences. This will only happen when the lying shitwads with their personal attacks can finally re-enter the domain of civil discourse.
Please think of the children, even the stupid children created by the ignorance of those who would disagree with me and persist in their pestilent discourse of greed, envy, and assholery.
Thank you all for listening to my call for civility
Peace
