that is sold to you as new.
When you look under the hood and start it up, it still does not fix the problems that you had initially.
And this is from pollster.com on health care and Obama:
<script></script>
That graph is telling and should worry many.
This states that Barack Obama has lost a lot of political capital on this health insurance fight. It also indicates that many Americans don't like what has been served up to them, period.
Has anyone around here wondered why no one is on television and out there touting this historic event called "health insurance reform"? And has many wondered why Obama is the only one who is doing so? And doing so sporadically?
Let's go back to the campaign.
Remember how we got the word out about Barack Obama? It was through word of mouth. That was stronger than anything. What happened here? There is no word of mouth, not much excitement, many just glad not to hear about this law any longer and still many bitter.
We have November of this year to worry about and many should worry about it. The word is excitement, which is sparse for our side right now. We should worry about it.
The reality is we gave our golden goose, health care reform to the Republicans by not defending it. We let the GOP have the message of health care and they won. Now there is a large part of this country who is just not feeling this health care stuff and many wondering if this administration will EVER do anything about JOBS.
At this point, we can argue on this blog til kingdom come, but no one's opinion is going to change, just like that poll above. Everyone has made their mind's up and it won't change. This bill was flawed from conception and flawed in passage and flawed now. That is the reality. Can it be fixed? Sure, but that takes courage and the halls of congress is not a place to look for leadership right now, let alone courage.
So, I want to know what Obama and the Democrats are going to do about Jobs and this Economy? It is all good for a new START treaty and all, but what about this almost 10% unemployed out here, let alone the under employed? What are you going to do about it? People are angry out here and tired of hearing about all this stuff that does not affect them directly, which is their pocketbooks.
If the polls are like this late August/September there will be a very real reality that we can lose the House of Representatives. Democrats need to get their base excited again, because health care did not do it. Folks, getting upset about the Frontline special on Obama's health care bill, should not be. Frontline is about as down the middle and truthful as it can be, remember it was WONDERFUL when Bush's War came out. Along with having the intuition about being TRUTHFUL, so we should not be upset about the truth coming out about this health care bill.
Lastly, it is only common sense that if you have to SELL a bill that has become law and the polls show that people are not excited about it, "Houston, you got a problem."
