Well, the Far-Right Wing of the Repub Party (AKA the "Tea Party") has added another token to their game. They already have the "Token Black Guy" and the "Token Hottie Mom" and now they round out a trio with the "Token Democrat".

Rep. Walt Minnick (D-Idaho) received the official electoral backing of the Tea Party Express (the largest group affiliated with the broader movement) on Thursday. The announcement was entirely unexpected for the Idaho Democrat -- the lone Democrat to get an endorsement nod from the group.
Most of us Dems in Idaho are very disappointed in Minnick. This Dino has let down eveyone who donated, canvased, and voted for him. He has consistently voted against almost every major Dem initiative, from the Stimulus Package to Health Care. He's become a bigger Tool than my husband's Craftsman crescent wrench!! I was so hoping he would not turn out this way, but am not too surprised. This is, after all, Idaho. I would never vote Repub, though, so I guess I can hope he'll be primaried, or I'll stay home come election time. Any Idaho Dem wanna run against him? I've got my checkbook!!
"Being on a list with [lightning rod conservatives] Joe Wilson and Michele Bachmann is not something we are embracing," Foster said. "But we do appreciate that they recognize Walt's firm stance on fiscal accountability."
So they (Minnick's Team) don't want him to be associated with crazy, loony Bachman, but still say "Walt is not in the habit of turning down support." Um...Walt, that makes you a whore. And a Dumb one at that. Idaho Dems are the ones who elected you and are not going to forget. You can't sell out to the highest bidder and expect not to be called on it!
Oh, and I'm going to call him "Firm Stance Minnick" from now on. He can "retire" and party with "Wide Stance Craig". AHAHAHAHA!!
On the surface, it would appear that the Tea Party Express put Minnick on its support-list for the sole purpose of having a token Democrat (emphasis mine). The group, after all, has long pledged that it isn't a stooge for the GOP -- though every other congress member they're supporting is Republican, and all their targets are Democrats.
This is such an obvious ploy. "Lookie, Dems support us, too! We're more Bi-Partisan than the Prez!"
Even Repubs (AKA Teabaggers) are not liking this:

an Idaho grass roots movement based on "Tea Party" principles would never endorse Minnick. A national organization trying to look "bipartisan" did.

I do not give to any organization that supports a Democrat with one dime. If he/she votes for Pelosi as speaker, she organizes the House, she and her liberal minions are the problem. That includes blue dog Dems. Disapointed in this endorsment, big time.
Hey, maybe this'll be good for Dems in the long run- It'll piss off the hard-core Repubs in the Tea Party, they'll leave, and the ones left who don't mind will be able to be counted on one hand. Bye-bye Tea Party!
