Time for include some updates in this series. New votes in the polls make change something, but today's update comes from California after Abel Maldonado (R) take office as the new Lieutenant Governor of California.
As a young republican (born in 1967), what can look to higher level offices in the future, if he survives to 2010 elections, I must take now in consideration A Maldonado for this series. Surely some readers from California remember the goals and the spirit of this series. This is not a diary about 2010 elections, this is an hypothetical contest what find check A Maldonado's strength for see if he can become dangerous in the future with the spirit of call to fight against A Maldonado if is necessary.
But before looks to other offices A Maldonado must win over G Newsom for a full term like Lieutenant Governor this year, and that seems hard work for A Maldonado. I think is more likely G Newsom defeats A Maldonado. G Newsom seems enough strong. And all this goes in the pack for vote in today's poll.
For end, the new vacant what A Maldonado leaves in the state senate of California gives a good chance to democrats for increases the current majority and win the powerful 2/3 supermajority.
I remember and update from previous diaries the structure of this series.
