It's time. Time to get answers, that is. The worsening disaster in the Gulf demands that certain questions be asked, and answers gotten.
What have we learned? We have learned the timeline of the response to this disaster.
We have also learned that a safety device, which is on ALL BP offshore rigs NOT IN THE US was NEVER INSTALLED.
Why?
BP made over 5 BILLION in profits last year. The device costs $500,000. The answer to my question of why is obvious. Bush deregulation permitted BP to save that tiny bit of money. The former administration believed that "they can police themselves".
Was this deregulation policy written by BP and others? It's time to find out the answers.
It's time for the release of the secret meetings between Dick and the oil industry.
It's time for the subpoenas of the former Vice President.
