The current plan BP has for stopping the flow of oil will guarantee that the entire Gulf Of Mexico (or at least a very large segment of it) will become a DEAD ZONE....
There is an obvious lack of urgency with the current timeline BP is discussing taking somewhere between 3-5 months to stop the flow of oil. What that timeline doesn't seem to take into account is that in about 4 weeks all sorts of tropical storms will be barreling through the area & that will bring all efforts to stop the flow to a halt. And so if it is a busy hurricane season they may have to wait until SEPTEMBER to resume the efforts to stop the flow of oil. Sure BP is eager to talk about how they will 'pay for everything' to clean the mess up but they sure are NOT talking about a timeline that results in stopping the flow in time to hopefully save at least some of our sea creatures! Their plan = a DEAD GULF OF MEXICO & so why is it that Obama and others in positions of power seem ok with that idea? Could it be that BP WANTS a dead Gulf Of Mexico? Hey we can drill all we want now because everything is already dead!!!
4 ex...If the president had a bleeding carotid artery squirting blood across the room and the doctor (hired by BP) said...don 't worry we will pay for all the presidents pain and suffering and we will get the presidents bleeding stopped in a month!!! Would everyone be ok with that??? Me thinks not because the president would have bled to death by that time so why is it ok to let the Gulf of Mexico die????
The point is that the Gulf Of Mexico and all it's wonderful sea creatures will all be dead by then. The endangered sea turtle's are already washing up! In Pass Christian,Ms. 12 dead sea turtles have already been recovered!
So this timeline that BP has just simply will NOT do!!! The flow must be stopped sooner! What about a tactical nuke? Maybe drop a giant rock on it? Sink a giant inverted funnel on top of it? How about putting a giant balloon over the top of it with a drain tube coming out the top??? I'm not sure what will work but we need to get some uber geeks together on this and solve the problem before the tropical storms arrive....the tock is ticking!
