I am not going to comment beyond this. Ken O'Keefe admits he was one of the people who disarmed Israeli commandos. Notably, he also states he disabled the weapons. I don't know O'Keefe, but think it is important for his side of the story to be heard in the interest of promoting an open inquiry into this event.
In the Israeli media, it is being claimed by the IDF that O'Keefe is a terrorist sympathizer and linked to Hamas. Over at OpEdNews, they have published a complete statement by O'Keefe, courtesy of Wayne Madsen. I realize Madsen is not the most reliable reporter and considered by many to be a conspiracy nut. However, this particular instance seems to stand on its own. O'Keefe has a history of trying to prevent the slaughter of innocents.
I think it is a very serious charge to claim a Marine is affiliated with a terrorist organization. This needs to be investigated -- for a whole lot of reasons.
UPDATE After some thought, I have changed the title because O'Keefe refers to himself as an ex-Marine even though this usage is commonly shunned by Marines who are no longer active duty. With regards to the comments about O'Keefe's motivations, intentions, allegiance, etc. I will simply note that when he had the opportunity to kill unarmed commandos, he did not. Nor did any other member of the flotilla.
Given the pandemonium and violence that was occurring during this attack, that fact should not be discounted or dismissed. Speaking for myself, I think it enhances the credibility of the participants because it supports their claimed intentions.
