The fine scientists at Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences have proven that it is bad to kill this algae life form which surely sequesters lots of carbon from fish and aquatic plants in streams and lakes.
Mass. study: Wood power worse polluter than coal
BOSTON — A new study has found that wood-burning power plants using trees and other "biomass" from New England forests releases more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than coal over time.
The press clippings don't mention how beneficial wildfires are for the atmosphere in taking out overgrown forests but I am sure these conservation scientists will let us know in time.
As Sarah Palin always says, "It is far better to drill for that old dinosaur oil than kill the dinosaurs hiding in caves."
The Manomet scientists are also into bird-washing though one might wonder how they plan to wash the fishies.
Science marches on.
Best, Terry
