During the primary, Rand Paul pledged not to accept contributions from any senator who had voted for the financial bailout. That promise was included on his campaign website at the time but has since been scrubbed (h/t barefootandprogressive.com) now that the Paul campaign is welcoming support from lawmakers it once shunned.
But, today at 3:30pm EST, Paul will benefit from the Republican Party's fundraising machine at a Washington event hosted by senators, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who voted for Bush’s Wall Street Bailout.

Major news outlets all over are taking notice of Rand’s latest hypocrisy. The Associated Press and Courier-Journal have exposed Paul’s hypocritical backpedaling on his pledge not to take money from senators who voted for the bailout.
Rand has embarked on a blame-game campaign, saying his reputation has been "sullied" by the media, in order to deflect criticism of his out-of-the-mainstream views. But his words are his words, and the Kentucky and national press corps are starting to shine light on some of his most outrageous ideas and hypocritical positions.
