Like all Kos members, I’m appalled at the Research 2000 fiasco.
But I’m willing to bet most of us here took those Daily Kos polls with a grain of salt; the results were just so out of whack. I don’t have any issue with Markos; he tried to raise his profile to play with the big boys, and I give him credit for that.
I do, however, take issue with the veracity with which that many on this site have gone after other polling organizations, knowing that the Daily Kos polling was so suspect. We’ve opened ourselves foolishly by doing that.
We all know Markos is emotional, and he’s probably pissed as hell right now – having had this exposed. But is a lawsuit really the best thing to do? If Research 2000 is operating out of a Kinkos (!), there’s really not much chance of seeing a dime.
Markos is handling the debacle adroitly so far, but these revelations on the Research 2000 polling really aren't that much of a shock.
