The extension of unemployment benefits may only delay the inevitable recognition that the only work available for millions of Americans is at wages substantially less than they are use to.
Should millions of Americans have to go back to work at minimum wage they would be making less than the unemployment benefits from their past jobs. The revolution would then begin when those who had a better quality of life began to lose that. If unemployment is not extended those who suffer can begin to demand much better.
