Hi, I'm Matt Campbell and I’m the Democratic nominee for Congress in Iowa’s 5th District. I had such a great time talking to you all on Tuesday that I thought I'd come back, update you on the campaign, and take as many of your questions as I can in the next 30 minutes or so.
If you want to take a look at Tuesday's live chat on Daily Kos, click here.
Steve King hardly needs an introduction around here: his outlandish and ridiculous comments have brought the wrong kind of attention to Iowa's 5th Congressional District. Rather than bringing jobs to Iowa, or helping to revitalize rural America in this recession, he's headlining events with Michelle Bachman and insinuating President Barack Obama is racist.
The latter -- saying the President is racist -- has been rejected across the district, and we've launched a petition calling on him to apologize.

More below the fold.
I don't want to filibuster the conversation -- I'm not in the U.S. Senate! -- but here is a little bit about who I am and where I come from. It's from my post on Tuesday:
I’m a fifth generation Campbell to live on a farm in Iowa, and I’ve spent almost all of my life living in this great state. I graduated from Morningside College with a double major in political science and economics. Over the last ten years, I’ve provided tax services to international services to several different companies.
I’m just a regular guy, running for Congress to restore common sense against one of the worst members of Congress. King is out of control, and I plan on retiring him in November.
On the issues, I consider myself a fiscally conservative progressive.
I know, I know – but don’t get the wrong idea about me.
Here is what I believe: I support reforming Wall Street including the implementation of a transaction fee that will help recoup the money lost during this recession. I want to see us draw down in Afghanistan as soon as possible and I support the immediate repeal of DADT – discrimination of any kind is simply unacceptable.
I firmly believe that my background puts me in a unique position to beat King. I'm a common sense, no non-sense guy who isn't afraid to challenge King. I also won't simply be the anti-King, I've laid out where I stand on critical issues like fixing the economy and reforming Wall Street. That's how I am going to beat him.
But I'd like to have your support, and that's why I'm here today.
I will be around for the next 30 minutes. Feel free to ask my anything!
Matt.
(Oh, and don't forget to sign our petition demanding King apologize to the President!)
