Now more than ever do we need representation for the middle class.  I am running for the legislature to represent the 9th Bristol District which includes Dartmouth, areas of New Bedford,Freetown and Lakeville.

If anyone knows how much the middle class is under attack, it's me.  I come from a working class family.  I am a licensed union electrician. I decided to run for this seat because I believe I can make the most positive impact on the lives of the people in my district and in the entire Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

My main focus is bringing manufacturing back and making Massachusetts the leader of the country in green technology manufacturing and Bio-life science.

For those of you who have traveled through Lowell, you understand the need for manufacturing.  Lowell is New Bedford's carbon-copy.  The working class built these areas, manufacturing made us strong.

I bring a different perspective than we may be used to on Beacon Hill.  There are many representatives with various professions, whether they may be lawyers, doctors or business owners.  These representatives bring different ideas, different perspectives.

What is missing is the perspective of the man or women who wakes up at 5 AM and doesn't come home until 5PM.  Or the mother who stays at home with the kids during the day but has to go work second shift at night to make ends meet and pay the bills.

I am that person.  I may be an anomaly, blue collar individuals rarely throw their hat into the political world.  I am not a politician, they only think of the next election. I am a public servant.

I want to represent the working families of the 9th Bristol district and impact working families and small businesses across the Commonwealth in a very positive way.

So I am asking everyone to help out in this campaign

Please donate to my campaign. Anything will help whether it's $5 $10 or $25, what ever you can afford will be more than helpful and really aprreciated.

Thank you everyone for your support.  I will be sure to make the voices of working families heard.  A TRUE DEMOCRAT FIGHTS FOR WORKING FAMILIES AND THOSE THAT ARE WITHOUT A VOICE.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
