Folks, I am a long time lurker and a first time writer because I can no longer stand by and watch this train helplessly heading for a wreck. Democrats have to stand for something or fall for anything. They need to take lessons from the opponent's playbook and simplify their message. Down to ONE LINE if possible.
Here are 3 words I believe will do it ...
...
The President has been gaining some traction with the Detroit metaphors lately and I believe he (and the Democrats) will be better served to take it one step further by redefine this november campaign as "Made in America". Every candidate, blogger, Democratic pundit and spokesperson should emphasize this from now till 2012 so that if you ask even a kid or homeless person what the Democratic Party stands for, returning manufacturing to America by resurrecting "Made in America" would be their first answer.
This has been one of the most accomplished Presidents and you couldn't tell just because he has only one major shortcoming ... Jobs. Everyone knows this is not for a lack of effort. Save the economy from total collapse, save the banking industry, save the auto industry, fix healthcare, regulate the banks etc. etc. etc. ... and the ONLY reward is "why aren't the jobs coming back fast enough?" Mr. Pres
Well the answer should be clear from Dems, we stand with America and the American worker. "Made in America" is our mission, our commitment, our motivation, or devotion and our goal. That is what the party should tout people.
Imagine for a second, President Palin or what's-his-name – War with Iran, tax cuts for the top 1%, outsourcing, evaporation of the middle class, more military spending, don't ask, don't ... don't even show up etc. etc. etc.
Now go get them folks! Maaaade in the U.S.A. !!!
