Joe Barton referred to last year’s stimulus bill as a boondoggle, but there he goes, taking credit for results he and his party have gone to insane lengths to sabotage.
I’d like to ask your assistance in removing this man from office.
Barton gained national visibility with his apology to British Petroleum, but this was not an isolated incident; there’s a pattern of arrogance, disconnectedness from the concerns of Texas 6 voters, and general buffoonery.
So this time, he is taking credit for a new clinic paid for with ARRA dollars that will have people to care for because the Democrats passed health care reform. Both of these steps forward came over the essentially unanimous roadblocking on the part of the GOP and vehement opposition from Barton.
The killer Bs, Boehner, Bachmann, and Barton, have vowed to repeal health care reform and shutdown the stimulus program, ARRA. And, yet, the killer Bs were demanding that ARRA money be spent in their district on health care infrastructure so they could claim credit for helping their constituents. The depths of their hypocrisy knows no bounds. And to top it off, Democratic candidates that oppose these charlatans are not even told when the ceremony celebrating the new facility is going to happen. It should be the Democrats that get to take a bow for the work the Democrats have done in the halls of Congress at great expense to themselves.
The rules require three paragraphs and I don’t know what else there is to say about this. I could really use your help over on ActBlue. My people tell me it’s $300 a month for a Facebook ad campaign and an effort like that could literally be the difference in this district with just eleven weeks to go.
