It shouldn't be a surprise, really.
Today, all the big GOP players in the state have gone full steam ahead with their negative campaigning, all releasing nearly identical press releases designed to distract voters from the issues and use distrust to divide the electorate.
The article is here.
Jan Brewer and her ilk are using anti-union messaging to distract voters from her failed record on education, the budget, and her lack of any plans for growing the state's employment.
Terry Goddard, Felicia Rotellini, and Chris Deschene are our candidates for Gov, AG, and Secretary of State, and are perhaps the strongest we've had in years. All are accomplished in their own right; fighting the exploitive mortgage and payday lenders, looking out for the little guy. Each one has a clear plan for Arizona's future.
Jan Brewer and the Arizona GOP just want to continue on the same path: budget deficits that never end due to irresponsible tax policies, larger cuts to education (leaving our kids with the 49th rated education system in the country), and legislation that seeks to limit our rights and freedoms.
With a willing media lapdog in this tea-party GOP dominated state, what can we do? How can our candidates fight these lies? The battles we face are not just in the House and Senate, but at the state level as well. If we concede these races, we'll just see more of the same tentherism.
Thoughts?
