Of course everyone knows about this inflammatory, muslim baiting Koran burning drama by a hitherto unknown pastor named, Terry Jones in Florida.
Now thanks to a third-rate , journalistically challenged, two-bit hackery called the US main stream media, this unhinged nutjob of a pastor, whose ugly & unsavory past in Europe has just been uncovered by Der Spiegel this week, has become notoriously famous all around the world for his crude act.
Neither the main stream media nor the prominent politicians from both sides of the aisle have come out so far publicly condemning this man and his hateful group for their wanton incitement of anger of 1/5 of the world population. Of course admin officials like Hillary Clinton and General Petraeus have condemned this act as a cause of danger to the american soldiers now in Afghanistan. Various European governments have condemned it with even one NATO general calling it an insult to the dignity of the coalition that is fighting along with the americans in Afghanistan.
Now President Obama has "waded" in into this abominable circus show.

Mr Obama said if the burning went ahead in Gainesville, Florida, it could endanger US military personnel serving in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
...
In an interview with ABC television, Mr Obama said he hoped Mr Jones "understands that what he's proposing to do is completely contrary to our values as Americans, that this country has been built on the notion of freedom and religious tolerance".
"And as a very practical matter, I just want him to understand that this stunt that he is talking about pulling could greatly endanger our young men and women who are in uniform," the president said.
"Look, this is a recruitment bonanza for al-Qaeda. You could have serious violence in places like Pakistan and Afghanistan... This could increase the recruitment of individuals who'd be willing to blow themselves up in American cities, or European cities," he said.
"I hope he listens to those better angels and understands that this is a destructive act that he's engaging in," the president said.

In the exclusive one-on-one interview on Wednesday with "GMA" anchor George Stephanopoulos, the president discussed initiatives to boost the flagging economy, tax cuts and the upcoming midterm elections. He also said Terry Jones' actions could boost recruitment of people who would be willing to "blow themselves up" in cities in America or Europe.
Obama's comments are the latest in the growing call from numerous politicians and community and interfaith leaders who've all spoken out in recent days, urging Jones to forgo his controversial plan and its potentially harmful consequences.
Malaysia called it a heinous crime, while Indonesia said it would damage relations between Islam and the West.
In the UK, Downing Street said it would not condone the burning of any book.
"We would strongly oppose any attempt to offend any member of any religious or ethnic group. We are committed to religious tolerance," said a spokesman for Prime Minister David Cameron.
The plan has also sparked condemnation from Iran, the Vatican, Nato and the top US Afghan commander.
Despite all the freaking out over the President taking a constitutionally rightful stand over the so called "Ground Zero Mosque" (all of which terms are incorrect), he has once again chosen to speak for what is right. I am sure he will catch flak over this from both the right and the left, though for diametrically opposite reasons. Especially, with the upcoming 2010 elections being played up as a lost cause for the dems by the msm and the pollsters, he did the right thing of 'wading' into this distasteful matter.
Well-done, Mr President.
