The vitriol comes forth ever darker, ever thicker across our political landscape...

...Almost like some other substance the conservatives worship. I am just so very tired of this, so extremely annoyed by it. Day after day, minute after minute, they froth with a neverending stream of lies. They attack all those who differ from them, always hoping to find the next "Other" they can sic their drones on. Already today there has been far more of this horrific behavior than one overly stressed blogger can hope to cover, but the levels of it are just astounding. It keeps rising, more lies and more shouting.

Today, our hero Glenn Beck has returned to the old death panel canard. The death panels that arent there..That never were there. Oh but to the clown prince of tears, we are destroying ourselves with them. When I went to the doctor yesterday, however, i saw a total loss of any suicide booths. There werent people being dragged away to have their fate determined by lot. It was just the same as always, with our overworked, under-paid going without their troubles being heard. We have fallen too far into the abyss of the right wing, the same abyss that nearly consumed our country's resources for the past 15 or so years.

But they dont stop. They will never, ever stop, not until they spout treasonous which point they'll claim their first amendment rights are being usurped, and hint ever more forcefully about "2nd Amendment Solutions" than they do now. Which wont be easy! But surely, you must be wondering, these people arent mentally handicapped. They seem to function fully well, except for the fact that where they think they are has nothing to do with the physical reality of the situation.

In their goal to end all things decent in the world, they have created a truly abstract political system. It is one where George H.W. Bush and George H Bush were responsible for the economic boom of the 1990s. Thankfully, President Clinton recognized their malice, and stopped the GOP from liquidating our surplus by giving it away as tax cuts. At the same time, they will blame Clinton for the world trade tower attack, they will attack Obama (and sometimes even clinton, absurd as it is) for the "mistakes" made under Bush. So in the end, Bush did everything right, and it was just those two awful libruls on either side that caused all the problems, and they did so in such an obvious way that you would have to be totally delusional to believe such events would've gone unreported. Forunately, the right knows its base.

And so it eats. And eats. And eats ever more. There is no goal except more of this sort of consumption. But I must give them credit where credit is due; they have created the first situation of total Meta-lie that ive seen. Through the insanity plague spread by O'reilly and Hannity, these dregs of humanity have constructed web after web of contradicting and absurd lies. I cant even start to list them, because my god, there are a LOT. And all I know for sure is, it keeps getting worse and worse with every passing day. With every minute they spew lies across the void to their addled and scared base. They know no one in the media will really counter them, because the "tea party" is like a howitzer. You move it to wherever you want destroyed, without worrying about consequences.

I fear what they will do now. Their rhetoric can only go so much higher before they incite violence directly. Already they have successfully gotten racism out of the national conversation. How? By having republicans say they are being attacked, and being called racist, just for disagreeing with Obama. This is not the case, but it is in the minds of the waterlogged Right. When the real racism comes, when the words become too filled with hatred for our president and congress, they will be able to ignore the issue and repeat old memes to complacent media.

I have little else to say on this subject. to continue would be to plumb the depths of yet another "Dont Retreat, Reload" statement would be to cause me no small amount of depression. But it never stops. How can I stop looking and watching, despite the stress of it, when every minute of every day spawns yet another frightful and WRONG statement. I dont like to mince words. These racists are trying to start a large scale conflict. They are happy to do so, thinking its God's will im sure. There is no other explination for this level of rhetoric, of fore-shadowing. They have set the scene for their political demise, and violent uprising. But they are clever. You do need to give them that. Just as with racism, theyve decided to say that we are the ones who are deluded. Oh sure, we show evidence and unedited videos and we reprint in full the statements of these..'people'. But it doesnt matter, as a single handwave from Palin turns their minds to a mushy pulp, slaves to her will. They believe their "gut" that theres a threat, and no facts matter anymore. "Facts" are just a new way of saying "Liberal lie" in the rightwing mindset after all.
And so it goes. They lie, accuse us of lying, and lie further to "prove" their original point. I dont like this sort of behavior. Its childish and cruel, like the neighbor boy who would rip legs off grasshoppers 'for fun.' I have a request, for all those at this site. It may seem a bit silly the same time, I think its important. I would like proof of just one day, one day in all of obama's presidency, where no one on fox, no one on radio, made a completely absurd lie. But I really dont think such a day exists. I mean..think about it. You probably cant even think about any five minute stretch in the rightwing media where they didnt spout these lies, I certainly cant. We need to make this so clear, this fact has to be spread as far as it will go. We need it now, before someone does something even more stupid, and fox can yet again blame the actions of their followers on us. Its horrific, its abominable in every way.

Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Bill O', I welcome you all to a new group just for you. "Christians who are going to Hell if the interpretation of their religion they have is correct." I see nothing of god or goodness in these people, and saying you love jesus wont do anything for you, if you were born into the wrong religion.

Good luck all. I truly hope theres a way out of this hole, since digging up seems ineffective.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

we're at the point where we're going to have to stop being surprised and disappointed or outraged and, as people do when climate changes or a war begins, recognize the old reality is ended and we're in a new situation that's not going to change by anyone being shamed or startled into common sense.

This is what our country is like, this is how it works, and we need to get move on to new ways of organizing, strategizing and messaging.

It's clear these forces are not going to stop till they have everything. Unless we stop them.

based on their cultural differences.  It's the defining feature of American democracy.

Those cultural features used to be regional, but more and more they've become class-based.

Nothing will end this divisiveness except a sweeping overhaul of the public education system.

    I wish it would stop.

Hate radio- I can't believe what these people say on a day to day basis, making it up as they go along.

But let one person criticize or ridicule what is being said, and oh bot- watch out as they cry "foul" and play the victim to a tea..

There is no way to stop them, except to pressure the FCC to remove the word "news" from FOX station advertising.

They cannot falsly advertise to be fair and balanced when they are in fact- not.
