BTW - The Libertarian on the ballot will not move out of the way for Lisa Murkowski so the only option would be for her to wage a write-in campaign. See also front page at DKOS.
The good news is that Scott McAdams is already going up with his first radio ad.
And Democrat Scott McAdams began airing his first radio ad of the general election campaign. In it, he emphasizes his blue-collar roots - saying he didn't go to Yale, like Miller did - and makes other contrasts with Miller, too, notably on the issue of federal funding.
Miller has said he wants to get a reign on government spending, arguing that spending in Washington is out of control, but McAdams says his belief is that a senator should fight for Alaska's "fair share."
McAdams' campaign says the ad is running in Anchorage and Fairbanks market but would not disclose the size of the ad buy.
BTW here's an interesting read, Joe Miller Thinks You're Not Very Smart, at Mudflats about Joe Miller and his flip-floppery on taking Federal money.
Primary position: we will take NO money from the feds.
Current postition: we’ll take money from the feds until they give us our land back, which will never happen, so we will ALWAYS take money from the feds.
"The federal government needs to honor the promises made at statehood and transfer control of our land and resources to the people of Alaska," Miller said. "Until that process is complete, I will fight for Alaska to get necessary federal dollars; however, it is imperative that we as Alaskans not settle for a few paltry crumbs from the federal table."
Just like those tea party folks to say one thing and mean another or change your song and dance after the primary.
Scott McAdams can win this race. Radio ads in Alaska are cheap. Heck a $10 donation buys another ad.
We are trying to raise $1,000 on our Progressive Electorate/ Daily Kos Act Blue Page for McAdams. Chip in a couple of bucks if you can. We are also trying to get to 1,000 total donors for all of our candidates.
