Essentially a re-post but it ain't over until it's over. Today is the day, Massachusetts Democratic primary, until 8pm EDT. Rep. Steve Lynch being challenged by the strong campaign of Mac D'Allessandro, labor lawyer-activist. Lynch is anti-HCR, pro-war, anti-choice. Essentially a Blue Dog. Bounce this back through the Netroots to anyone near Boston.
Votes count. Boston Phoenix, in "Lynch Vulnerable?" conducted a poll on behalf of a third party prior to D'Alessandro's entrance into the race, (before he began campaigning):
It found that 39 percent of likely primary voters hold a favorable impression of Lynch, with 29 percent unfavorable and 32 percent undecided. That is a low favorability number for an incumbent, among voters in his own party...Just 35 percent said that Lynch deserves re-election, with 33 percent saying it is time for somebody new, and 32 percent not offering an opinion.
Lynch was one of 148 Democrats who voted to keep the wars going. The bottom line is, the wars can only go on as long as there are Democrats willing to fund it. The Repubs by themselves don't have enough votes.

If you are a registered Democrat or "unenrolled" in the MA-9th District you can vote. When we talk about better Democrats, the rubber hits the road right here.
