I don't want to a turn to the right, I don't want to go back. And I really think I'm not alone. My generation suffered through a Republican shut down of government, not in 1994 but from 98 and on. When Bill Clinton's private life became all of our most important business. I don't want that again. Bombing Baghdad for no good reason... I don't want that again. In fact I made a video about it a few years back so I'd never forget.
Eight Miserable Years: Republican Rule From 2001-2008
caution: disturbing images of war
After decades of exclusionary practices how can Republicans expect so many to vote for them?
I just can't believe the hype. Remember just a few years ago the Republican party was "tainted dog food," now they're primed for a comeback? We can't let that happen. The party that believes the free market solves anything are ruining this country. I agree in principle with Michael Moore, McDonalds and companies like it are doing far more damage to Americans than Al Qaeda ever has. The middle class in this nation was built on union wages and on small business retail, a.k.a. the mom and pop. The regular income and place for investment was invaluable for average families in the days of yore. And the lack of a safe place for investment was devastating to average folks in recent days. I saw a news article that said Wal Mart is looking into smaller stores. When does it stop? How close do we get to every town looking the same, packed to the gills with corporate outlets, with foreign products and lots and lots of minimum wage jobs. We're locked in a long term battle with the big forces of easy and entrenched money and they want us to believe we've lost the next fight. But we haven't even laced up the gloves yet.
I found this company that does taste testing and last night I got paid to eat ice cream. So Democrats can have that money. I just gave $100 to Alan Grayson, Tarryl Clark, Barbara Boxer, Alexi Giannoulias, Jack Conway, John Waltz and Justin Coussoule. Please join me either by donating or by sharing this link. Even $1 donations make a difference in supporting our party that believes in working men and women, choice, science, equality and civil liberties for all people.
