I think
John Glenn would make an excellent VP. He has a distinguished wartime record as a pilot, is a genuine national hero as the first American astronaut, and has a solid Senate record on two critical issues - national security (proliferation) and health care (aging).
Glenn is from the swing state of Ohio, could possibly appeal to the critical senior citizen demographic, and would be a devasting critic of Bush's Medicare proposal at age 82.
Any thoughts on John Glenn effect on winning Ohio and his effect on Senior votes and Medicare? Is eighty-two too old to serve one term as VP? Is VP Glenn groundbreaking for seniors or an impossible choice?
