A couple of grassroots moms were chatting about the effect of the Florida hurricanes on this election. Obviously the destruction and displacement has made polling more difficult. But what about actual voting? Will the state foot drag in getting voting places set up in those precincts which were hit hard and have high African American populations? I said, "They have to give people of place to vote." But the other mom countered, "Who's going make them? Who's going to check?" I believe ACT and MoveOn are both in Florida, as well as the Kerry campaign and the Democratic Party. But does anyone know for sure if this issue is being addressed?
