Late posting this since the early games have started, but I know we got a lot of sports fans here.
As a former Redskins ticket holder that now lives just outside of St. Louis, last week was tough for me. But being a Redskins fan is just a step up from being a Rams fan so I guess in some twisted way I am happy they won a game.
For me today is all about the Redskins and Donovan McNabb headed back to Philly. A little story and a few comments about that below the fold before we start talking some football.
People have been asking all week if McNabb will get booed. Are you kidding me? They booed Santa Claus one year. Little story time.
I had just moved to DC. 1993 I think. A co-worker and her husband were from Wisconsin and had just relocated as well. One weekend they wanted to know, since they had an extra ticket, if I wanted to take Amtrak up to see Greenbay play the Eagles. I was like sure. Mistake #1.
They were dressed in Greenbay gear from head-to-toe. OK mistake #2.
Now we were about the most laid back folks in the world. And I was the "large dude" of the three. I am 5'4 and 132 pounds. That was the first time I've ever been "scared" at a sporting event, and I've been to hundreds. It was worse then being a Cardinals fan (which I am) in the bleachers at Wrigley Field on a 100+ degree July afternoon.
So yes, I think McNabb will get booed .....
Short not really relevant story ended, lets talk football.
