Okay, confession.
This is not going to be much of a diary.
But I wanted to make two points.
- NPR was right to release Juan Williams, but not because of what he said to Bill O'Rilley.
- The correct reason is that "Fox News" is not a legitimate news organization. It is a 24 hour propaganda operation for the "corporate people" and the Republican party.
"Fox News" is in no way objective, and regularly has folks on saying things that they know are not true.
For this reason, it is inappropriate for any operation that has any journalistic integrity to allow its employees to work for "Fox News".
So yeah, Mara Liasson needs to decide if she is a journalist or a talking head.
This is not about "free speech". It is about "journalism" versus "propagandism".
