here for anti-ACLU diatribe relating to their efforts to reduce faith-specific expenditures in government venues.
The one thing about this article, it nails the opposition to what the ACLU is doing in one sentence:
Christmas ought to be a time of peace, unity, and joy.
and betrays the opposition in one fell swoop, because there are two words missing at the end of that sentence...
for Christians
I can't imagine the protests if schools or atriums or township buildings routinely and single-mindedly put up materials/displays at taxpayer expense for such religious holidays as Ramadan, Diwali, Buddha Jayanti, etc. Schools off. Government offices closed. Oh yeah, there would be an outrage.
And yet, those who complain about the ACLU's efforts can't see this, because everything runs through the Christian faith filter.
