This has already been discussed, I'm sure, but I can't help it. I have to dance.
After a dismal night for Team Blue nationally, I am so proud of my home state for kicking Scott Brown's MA Republican revolution in the teeth. I was nervous going in, quite honestly. The races were tight, all the "liberal media" was all about the tea party (what else?) and they absolutely adore Scott Brown, so when he was making his rounds, they couldn't get enough of how awesome he is and how his star power was going to help, blah blah blah.
Plus, driving around my conservative neighborhood on the Cape, seeing all the Perry signs, wasn't encouraging.
But I decided to get in the game, knock on doors, attend rallies, make phone calls, donate time, money, worked the polls on election day and GOTV my ass off.
Last night, i did a final GOTV push with a Dem councilwoman who said that pretty much all of the people who were scheduled to come in and help our local dems, bailed. That didn't sound good. So we soldiered on into the night, knocking on doors on the extremely dark, bitter cold, Cape Cod streets, almost up until the final moments.
and then, the victory party in Dennisport.
As you know, we cleaned house here in the bay state. Deval Patrick, Bill Keating, Barney Frank...everyone had a good night and I couldn't be more relieved. At least MA voters came to their senses and didn't follow the crazy nationally. In fact, most of New England remained sane (sorry NH!)-
Seeing that the press couldn't wait to make potential dem losses about a referendum on Obama, will they now make our victories a referendum on Scott Brown?
Didn't think so. Damn liberal media!
So that's it. Short and sweet. Go Mass Dems. Now about that Scott Brown seat in 2012...
