Too nice, and too wimpy; to me, that describes many rank- and-file democrats.
I'm angry, and I'm determined.
If I'm going to continue to live in the USA, I want to make sure that I really live in the kind of country that I want.
A country that is truly the land of the free and the home of the brave. A country that I can be proud of, that I can be in a foreign country and say, proudly, "I'm an American."
I'll tell you the truth; politics are the same the world over. I was born in Rome, and I'm in Paris right now; and the leaders of both those countries are being challenged, just as Obama is being challenged. There's no question that Berlusconi is a bush clone, except sleazier; but Sarkozy is actually not bad. Nevertheless, they are both under attack.
I would like to see our president, MY president, get as tough as Sarkozy, who powers through what he wants, and maybe also get half as backstabbing and sleazy as Berlusconi, who has managed to remain in power for years by the kind of tactics that the republicans use in the USA.
We didn't want a war; we didn't start one; we tried to be bipartisan, to be truly fair and balanced, to quote America's 'most trusted news'; but if it's a war 'they' want, and you better believe that there is a 'they' and they aren't your friends, then they're going to get it from me. And I've got Obama's back, and anyone's who is willing to get down and dirty for me and with me.
Mr President, forget the olive branch; I'll give you a branch, a nice thick one. And believe me, 'they' don't even want to think of 'second amendment solutions'; I'm a veteran, something that the Sharron Angle's of the world mostly are not; I'm also a liberal, and proud of it. And, despite my name on this blog, I'm also a nice guy; but not that nice that I'm going to let my country be stolen from me without a fight.
And I'm committed to taking my country back. Lawfully.
