Apologies if there have already been diaries on this but in looking up some stuff for a possible article looking at Comcast's opposition to net neutrality and its coming clampdown on liberal voices at the network... liberal voices like Keith Olbermann who supported net neutrality on air... I noticed this.
***Not years ago under different regimes, in different election cycles, but IN MARCH 2009 CNBC HOST LARRY KUDLOW HEADLINED A FUNDRAISER FOR HOUSE REPUBLICANS!!!
From the article:
"Kudlow, a former Reagan administration official and Obama tax-hike hater, will speak during the lunch at an all-day "business summit" hosted by committee chairman Pete Sessions (R-Texas)."
Kudlow also appeared at the annual Prescott Bush awards dinner, the Connecticut GOP's biggest fundraiser of the year. He has expressed interest in running against Sen. Chris Dodd in 2010. "I'm thinking about it, that's all I can say," Kudlow said early this month. "It's the kind of thing where I'm talking to friends, talking to strategists, talking to my wife, and praying on it."
So let me get this straight... Keith Olbermann is barred from donating to Dems but Larry Kudlow has carte blanche to stay on air advocating Republican policies and the election of Republicans while he mulls pursuing political office HIMSELF and not just donates to candidates but HEADLINES FUNDRAISERS?
BTW here's the net neutrality and Comcast/NBC facts:
***Comcast vehemently opposes net neutrality and sued the FCC to stop it from happening.
***The 95 liberal Congressional candidates who signed a committment to net neutrality legislation lost on Tuesday and Keith Olbermann has supported net neutrality on his show.
***New Comcast-installed CEO Steve Burke was a Bush pioneer fundraiser.
Maybe the whole "Lean Forward" branding is just a smokescreen for liberal viewers so they don't realize Comcast is dismantling their liberal-friendly programming?
