I've sent this question to the White House, I don't expect an answer, but I think the fact that I have to ask it points out how insane US policy vis a vis air travel has gotten.
As a father, the President, I expect, would be outraged if a random stranger took naked pictures of his daughters, much less actually touched them (private areas or not), yet he is responsible for a policy that requires submitting our children to that in order to simply travel. Hopefully now that he is back from his trip he'll ask some hard questions, do some serious thinking about what his means, and make some real changes.
I am taking my family (wife, 2 daughters, son and future daughter-in-law) to Hawaii over the Christmas holiday and really would like to see some sanity before I have to go, both my departure and arrival airports have the scanners installed. I'm hoping that long lines mean just using the tried and true metal detectors. If they are subjected to these deprivations, I feel it is in some measure my fault.
Hopefully the President will realize that it's his fault too.
