Quotes of the day:  "Upright citizens bless a city and make it prosper, but the talk of the wicked tears it apart.  It is foolish to belittle a neighbor; a person with good sense remains silent."  proverbs 11:11-12

"Whoever walks with the wise will become wise; whoever walks with fools will suffer harm."  proverbs 13:20

Research topic:  How to put an end to FOX NEWS, using coordinated, intelligent, rational means?

I've had a very interesting week:  I've been slandered by NewsBusters.com, had it repeated at Fox Nation and over 30 plus other conservative hysterical news chop shops and numerous other blogs, been compared to the unabomber and Timothy Mcveigh, had the Presidents photo placed above the inaccurate smear pieces about me in an attempt to diminish President Obama and, got a haircut.  Back to this later.

I also heard some really great news this week - what we have been doing here at opednews, along with other anti-Fox and ant-Glenn Beck voices and boycotters, is having an effect - Glenn soon will be going the way of the outdoor privy.

The final nails in his rotting coffin will be driven by all of us and his profound lack of humanity.  He has been relentlessly hammering George Soros for the past couple of weeks.  He has been dangling puppets, changing his voice, acting and gracelessly exposing his and Fox’s prejudice and inhumanity.  Fox News and Beck are an abomination; they are not un-American – they are a-American, as in atypical or asexual.  What if George Soros is simply a very, very rich American Father who cares about the country, society and earth that he will be leaving his children?

In his stupid zeal to tarnish Soros, Beck decided last week to “expose” Credo Mobile as another vile, evil tool used by Soros to destroy America.  Credo is a company that promotes green, sustainable business practices and gives good Americans good employment in hard times.  Therefore, by besmirching Credo, Glenn Beck is advocating the destruction of good peoples lives for no legitimate reason.  Credo is coordinating a boycott of Beck – I would suggest checking it out.  Good Americans need your help.

Now, back to my week: I posted a diary here titled, “The American Dream: A Flawed Conspiracy Theory”  about ten days ago and then a couple of days later posted it as a diary at dailykos.  On the fourteenth, Tim Graham, of NewsBusters, found the piece and published an article grossly misrepresenting what I wrote, saying that I “hate” conservatism and was “angry”.   I never once implied or said that I was “angry”.  And as for “hating conservatism”, here is exactly what I said; “Our Capitalist Republican/Right Wing brothers and sisters are not the enemy, we are”.  This Man is another right wing, chop shop, journalistic pretender.  It appears that his job is perusing progressive/liberal blogs and websites, finding supposed dirt with which to foul us.  His particular area of expertise appears to be the demeaning of the President of the United States.  President Obama has blogged at dailykos.  He evidently cruises dailykos in search of bits of free speech to attach to the image of the PRESIDENT, in an obvious attempt to undermine the efficacy of his office.  I bet if you searched the files of accused Communist subversives, you would find this used as probable cause.  What he is doing, although also protected, is indeed an abomination.  Using the individual  thoughts of a private citizen, misrepresenting them, probably not even fully reading the piece (I bet he stumbled on “oeuvre”, and gave up) with the absolute intent of slandering the President, who is fighting two wars, struggling with the economy, and trying to manage our place in this crazy world – Tim your family and community should be proud.

Unfortunately for Tim, his hit piece didn’t have legs because the conservative American snoopers found out that I am in fact a broken down carpenter that writes a golf column for a, small town, Texas newspaper (for free) and participate with over 1500 other wonderful people at haitirewired, giving of our time and or experience and knowledge to assist in the rebuilding of that shattered country.  There had been much speculation as to which sick liberal organization was paying me.

However, the thing that really killed the story was the dailykos connection.  When I posted a reply to Tim, the nice people over there scolded, chided, schooled and chastised me – they were just generally sh**ty.  I wasn’t welcome in their “virtual ballroom” - evidently my blogging etiquette sucks.  It probably does, I can be bull in the chinaclosetesque and obtuse on occasion.  Also, I almost never read directions.
I thought diary meant diary; “a record of events, transactions, or observations kept daily or at frequent intervals; especially:  a daily record of personal activities, reflections, or feelings”.  I mistakenly thought blogs to be megaphones in the marketplace of ideas.  A ballroom?  Anyway, opednews is the best online progressive site, hands down.  Rob, thanks for allowing me the space here to express my thoughts.

Well, when Tim realized that I wasn’t a “dailykos blogger” - the ruse was up.

These fakers are all empowered by FOX NEWS.  I would hate to be a journalism professor right now.  It’s gotten so hard for Fox viewers, that in mixed company, they only talk about how cool Huckabee is when he plays the bass guitar - he apparently is their idea of the one nice guy over there.  To my thinking, it’s impossible to be “nice” and have a permanent gig at Fox.  This dude wants to be our President and he doesn’t even know the difference between simple right and wrong.

My Grandfathers had a tremendous influence on my life.  They lived and worked during the depression and World War II.  My father’s dad was an FDR appointee – he was in charge of the Office of Price Administration for the Southern District of Texas and he was a rabid Republican.  However, he never once said a negative word about or against his President during those trying times.  And never, that I heard, later on.  He cried when the man died - as did most of America.  The only difference between the stateside struggles (the scale was certainly not the same) of FDR and Barack Obama are the effects of Reaganism and FOX NEWS.  “Roosevelt…am I wrong by saying there was a good portion of people that thought, “Holy cow, I’m glad he’s dead.  He was turning into a dictator.”  Glenn Beck

Fox should be shut down and Rupert Murdoch declared an enemy of the state, persona non grata, and denied re-entry.  Myself and my friends are starting our boycott activities here.  For now, we are simply going to post, FOX NO, anywhere we can and boycott Fox’s advertisers.  If you have other ideas drop me a note at chipdivit@rocketmail.com   **

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
