Like him or hate him, Obama has not moved the nation back from the brink of right-wing thuggery as we had hoped and as much as he had promised. There's probably a good opportunity for the right political candidate to run against Obama in the primary, much to the chagrin of the DNC. Who would YOU like to see in the White House in 2012?
I'm tired of watching our president start every conversation by giving concessions to our republican opponents, with no imaginable reason why they would do anything in return for his acquiescent behavior. Surely there must be someone with the wherewithal to run against a less-than-popular middle-of-the-road candidate like Obama, especially with our country in so much poverty and pain from the looting of the bush administration and their corporate fanbase. I'd like to read your suggestions for a strong progressive who cares about the american people and about American values, like protecting the constitution and closing gitmo and not turning US airports into a trampling ground for our civil liberties.
