I know how much we Democrats love to celebrate our individuality and the largeness of our tent, but . . .
If we are going to play a "team sport" like "politics", it is going to be necessary to review the basics . . .
Now, no matter what, the Democratic Party is a team . . . but if we want to be a GOOD TEAM, there are certain characteristics of good teams that we may want to emulate.
1. Good teams only have one head coach.
2. Good teams present a united front when on the field of play.
3. Members of good teams hash out differences in the locker room
with other team members, not with the media.
4. Members of good teams put the needs of the team ahead of their
individual needs.
5. Members of good teams run the play that was called by the current
coach, not the back up quarterback, previous coach, or other team.
6. Members of good teams do not question their coaches cajones in the
media.
7. Members of good teams do not stop giving a full effort because they
don't feel they are getting enough playing time.
8. Good teams do not "look past" their current opponent to future
challenges or take any opponent lightly.
9. Members of good teams use adversity as an opportunity to step up their
game, not attack or berate the team.
10. Members of good teams expect setbacks, make adjustments, and stay focused on what it takes to win.
Clearly, Team Democrat has alot of potential. Maybe we need to practice working together more and second guessing a little less?
Just a thought.
