Nigeria is set to file charges against former Vice President Dick Cheney and officials from five foreign companies including Halliburton Company. Dick Cheney was the CEO of Halliburton during this period.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has information on the $180 million bribery scandal in Nigeria.
Charges will be filed against the current and former chief executive officers of Halliburton Corporation and its former unit KBR Inc., based in Houston.
The former CEO of KBR had been already convicted in a Houston court. Albert Stanley, the former KBR chief executive pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the Nigerian bribes and he also agreed to work with the investigators.
It should be noted that Albert Stanley worked under former Vice President Dick Cheney.
