Can a republican say "tax cuts for the rich?" Of course not. Are they tax cuts for the rich? Obviously. So what is their only spin, the tax cuts are about small business job creation. "Small businesses create jobs!" they say. They are the "job creator!" So let's call their bluff! You want small business job creation - you got it.
The purpose of this post is not to discuss the merits of middle tax (and below) tax cuts. The party and the president is committed to those cuts. The question is how to maintain those cuts without caving on the "billionaire" cuts.
If you want tax cuts over the first $250K of income, because they will create jobs, than the we will give them to you.
Small business owners will get the same tax cut on the first $250K of income as everyone else. In addition, for every job they create they can receive the extra 4.6% tax cut ( or a credit) on additional wages. I have not come up with a real formula for this tax incentive, however, I believe the strategy of countering their job creation argument with a job creation strategy will sell to the American people.
And, an added benefit - more jobs. In addition, to get the credit, the money must be spent!
