This will be short. Really not a diary at all. I should have waited for an open thread, but I was hoping others might join in the fun.
About three minutes ago I broke the law. You see, I am a (state) government employee, and recipient of a little bit of government grant money. To say that I am way down the food chain would be an understatement.
I don't matter, and I don't know shit.
And yet, I was finally forwarded an email saying that I am not allowed to access Wikileaks from work (fair enough) or from home (the fuck you say).
So, 1 minute after receiving the email, I logged into Wikileaks (from home) for the first time since a brief perusal when it first came online. I am now a criminal. So, any other criminals out there? Please share your story.
Breakin' the law, breakin' the law, breakin' the law.
Clarification: When I say I don't matter, I am really, really not kidding. Its not just that I don't have a security clearance, I don't even work in a position that would ever require a security clearance. I am an ancient historian/archaeologist. So unless Wikileaks is posting something about internal cables from the Roman Empire, I really don't think its gonna apply.
