The pure fraud of the Obama Presidency was cast into bold relief yesterday by the 8.5 hour speech from Sen. Bernie Sanders, who apparently is the last unbought voice on Capitol Hill left to voice the concerns and grievances of the oppressed, the d-spossessed and disenfracnhised, indeed, the clear majority of Americans, both black and white.

In a rhetorical tour de force, Sanders laid out the basic inequity of the grossly uneven, in fact anti-democratic, distribution of wealth and income in this country. America is a "banana republic", a fascist, plutcratic work camp, where "Arbeit macht Debt". One percent earns 1/4 of all income, and today owns more than 90% of their fellow Americans combined.
The last Presidential election featured a black American who promised hope and change. If ever there was the chance that the average, expoited American, be he black or white, saw hope for relief from the utter slavery of being exploited by the rich, it was the Obama candidacy and suuceess. Let there be absolutely no doubt, the fact that Obama was black, the fact that as a member of a race subjected to some of the most vilest exploitations in the history of humanity, led to the hope that he would not sell out his people, not sell out the hope and aspirations of the millions who voted for him.. Well, what have we now today? Taking Obama as the measure, how far, in principle, has the black American come fron the days when for a pittiance, his labour, indeed, his life, was owned by another? In comparision to what Obama had at the start of his tenure, to what he sold it for: not much.
What an utter disgrace that a far older white man must stand for 8.5 hours denouncing the hypocricy of the syetem, denouncing its exploitation of the honest labours of the American people, denouncing ultimately, white rich people exploiting black poor people, while Obama, after giving the rich more money than it could ever possibly need, lunches with bankers, and gets to live in the Big House, leaving the rest of America to its shacks, shelters and servitude.
Shame on Obama. How weak this thing we call "democracy", how facile and ridiculous is this notion of equality, fairness and respect for each other. Obama gave hope to the cynics. He set the mostly white rich people free.
LOL! Hope and change? Ha! He took our hope, and kept even the spare change.
