Ok...So maybe I am not a seasoned political inside the beltway operator. (But I did visit the Smithsonian and the various monuments this summer if that counts for anything). But I don't understand how the Democratic Party (can anyone on this side of the aisle push back against the terms dems and democrat for god sakes? Luntz polls, comes up with nicknames, and even that dude with the goatee from 8 years ago on MSNBC uses them...dear lord) can be so just idiotic
So what do you think of THIS...
So the Democratic Party is seen as loving to tax and spend, blah, blah, blah....and we want to hamstring the "job creators". (and on the 3rd day, He hired temporary illegal immigrants, and it was good!)
Why not try this...
Wait until say maybe March...then...have the President/Senate/House Minority push for a Bill....Call is something like "The Taxpayer Liberty act of 2012" or something condescending and trite (which really seems to work by the way...)
Without being too complex...The Bill LOWERS the tax rate from the Bush era rates...(maybe by 1%...something like that...) for ALL Taxpayers up to $250.00 or whatever...Basically a deeper tax break for the middle/working class than the republicthongs have set....Make them temporary for like...oh 5 years...get them out of the way for awhile..
THEN...dare them to vote against it....LEAVE the temporary tax breaks for the rich in place...which will expire in 2012 and then see if they have the guts to bring up tax breaks for only the upper class....
I thought maybe the congress would have done this before the last election...Maybe voted to extend AND Lower taxes on working/middle class...
Again, I am not an economist. But honestly, why not be proactive rather than reactive?
