If you needed any more evidence that the Villagers in DC are utterly isolated from the concerns of the "real Americans" they claim to represent, look no further than this:
That's right: while most Americans saw the value of their homes continue to slide, "The Washington region posted the highest year-over-year home price gains in the nation this fall, as real estate values slumped in nearly every other metropolitan area".
Don't you wonder how it is, living in that bubble? Must be pretty sweet, eh? "Honey, look at this. It says we just made another $20,000 in home appreciation."
I just don't know what to say.
