By this weekend, we could have the passage of a historic health care bill that provides insurance to over 30 million Americans and their families. This bill, while it is an incremental step forward, is greatly needed.
The countdown to health care reform is here and it's up to us to make sure that health reform is passed by the end of this week! Join us in telling Congress to show us which side they're on----on our side or the side of insurance companies---by finishing their job on health reform.
However, there are Members of Congress who are standing in the way of banning pre-existing conditions for children, expanding community health center clinics across America, drug prescription reform for seniors, and regulations that help improve the health and lives of millions of Americans.
We need you to tell them to support the passage of this health bill!
The fate of the health care reform is in their hands. It's up to us to make sure they don't kill this health care bill.
WHIP THESE MEMBERS OF CONGRESS INTO SUPPORTING THE HEALTH BILL AND THE RECONCILIATION FIX!
Since we last whipped, we got two confirmed YES votes on the whip list, and we can't stop whipping until almost every last vote on that list is a YES. Tell these conservative holdouts why we need this bill to pass, and we all know we have our own personal health insurance horror stories. They need to know what they're risking with a NO vote on this health bill by the end of this week.
It's time for these conservative Democrats to stop dithering while lives are currently being destroyed by private insurance companies, and tell them to FINISH their job on health reform.

MAJOR UPDATE:
Steny Hoyer says we don't have the votes right now! We need you to CALL!
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said Tuesday that Democrats don't yet have the votes to pass a bill this week and that they're still talking with every single member of the caucus.
He also told reporters during his half-hour weekly news conference that he hopes to have language for a reconciliation bill finalized later in the day and defended the possible use of the rules to deem the Senate bill passed without forcing members to actually take the uncomfortable vote to support it.
"The votes are close," he said. "People are concerned. It's controversial. Every member of our caucus wants to vote for health reform. I don't know how many times I've told you that, but that's a fact. That does not mean by any stretch of the imagination that every one of them will. This is a big bill with a lot of provisions, and there are obviously concerns within the framework of the bill. So in that context, we're talking to every member. And our expectation is when we bring this bill to the floor, we will have the votes for it."
WE NEED THESE CONSERVATIVE DEMOCRATS TO VOTE FOR THE RECONCILIATION BILL!
