Oh, how can I even write a headline like that without starting to laugh hysterically.
Anyway, here is a
new wire story care of the
New York Times.
It looks like George Bush is sending out James Baker III to deal with the Iraqi debt crisis. Evidently, the Bush administration feels that the current Iraqi debt is too much a burden on the country.
No mention of James Baker III's extensive conflicts of interest in the region, including the fact that his law firm is defending the Saudi Royal family from lawsuits filed by victims of the World Trade Center attacks.
George Bush's international business ties and those of his family and friends, especially those with nefarious regimes like Saudi Arabia, continue to be a huge problem for our country and expose us to all sorts of jeopardy in the global arena.
Basically, we have a guy here whose job it is to defend the economic interests of wealthy Saudis, going to another country in that region to manage its debt crisis?
Bad, bad, bad news.
But not nearly as bad as having a guy as president who considers it part of his job to protect the economic interests of wealthy Saudis.
What have we gotten ourselves into? I want a president who protects the interests of Americans.
