Despite pleas from the Democratic State Committee in New Hampshire, a dearth of Dems showed up to be a "presence" at the Republican Committee local kickoff today.
In spite of the state Democratic Committee for New Hampshire requesting various Democratic candidate offices to send over volunteers to be a presence at the local (Manchester, NH) Republican Committee
kickoff event this afternoon (1/14/04), no one showed up -- except people from the Dean campaign. Santorum was the special guest of honor at the Republican event.
According to an intern who drove over there with a bunch of Dean volunteers and interns, two people from the state committee arrived, and no one from the other campaigns at all.
What does this say about the various Democratic campaigns' attitude toward banding together as a party to get Bush out of office?
