Okay, okay, okay Mr Speaker.... Let's change subjects and stop pitting the Pundit Gingrich against the Author Gingrich and get back to current topics. But before we go further, is there one more outlandish comment you want to put out there to incite the public and rev up their engines to buy your book? I mean, what if I am "Radically Pissed" but not too sure if I want to buy your book or not. Are there any early indications that I will not be comforted, consoled and calmed down if I buy and read your book?
Is Politics the Lovechild of Hypocrisy and Irony or are we just selling books?
At some point you have to ask the question; do these people really believe the stuff they are saying on the television and radio or are they just trying to get out the most controversial comments, as they plug their new book, or their next speaking arrangement?
It is becoming obvious that those given the responsibility of advertising these new books, or as Fox News calls them, "anchorpersons" are also getting tired and lost in the double talk. And this is where it starts to get interesting....
I predict a total meltdown on Fox News (or one of their affiliated spin machines) before the MidTerm Elections.
Let's take a quick peek at Fox News Sunday and Chris Wallace trying to help Newt Gingrich address his hypocrisy.
Chris: You praised the Tea Party and when they ousted Utah Senator Robert Bennett last week you said this..."Its a sign of the anger of the American People". But Speaker just three months ago, you endorsed Bennett for re-election.
Newt: And I think Bennett is a very nice man, my comment isn't anti Bennett, I mean Bennett would agree with me... He found that his vote on TARP really signaled people, he gave them an explanation of their anger.. Bennett is a very reasonable person.
(So Mr. Speaker, if your comment isn't anti-Bennett, was it anti-Tea Party, or anti-Gingrich 3 months ago or...was the comment "it's a sign of the anger of the American People," just a comment that you made to "throw some skin in the game" and get people to say..."man, that Gingrich is one Wild And Crazy Guy...let's go buy his book!)
But I digress....and continue...same show, one minute later.
Chris: your critics also point out that you, as you see here, attack President Obama for his socialist intrusion into the private sector but the fact is Mr Speaker that back in 2008, you supported the 700 Billion Dollar Wall Street Bailout.
Newt: Thats right, Thats right. But it was actually 400.
Chris: no it was 700
Newt: Ok, [but] what I said at the time, and I will repeat if the chairman of the Federal Reserve and the Secretary of the Treasury both look you in the eye and say, "in the absence of doing this, we are going to collapse into a great depression, I don't have the confidence as a historian to say...let's take the gamble...
(So in essence Mr Speaker, there is a reason why it was convenient to take the actions you took, but.......there is also a reason for you making such a dramatic accusation about the President...could it be...as the Church Lady once blamed....SATAAAN... Or just trying to notch up on the New York Times Best Sellers List?)
Okay, okay, okay Mr Speaker.... Let's change subjects and stop pitting the Pundit Gingrich against the Author Gingrich and get back to current topics. Let's turn to page 4 of your new book, and you write, "The secular-socialist machine represents as great a threat to America as Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union once did")
Chris: Mr Speaker, respectfully, isn't that wildly over the top?
Newt: No... I compare that as a threat. Not in terms of the moral... look, there is no comparison to Nazi Germany or to Mao's China or the Soviet Union, all of which were evil, but as a threat to our way of life the degree to which the secular-socialist Left represents a fundamental replacement of America, a very different world view and a very different outcome, I think is a threat to our way of life.
(well Golly Mr. Speaker...I didn't think I could be more "Radically Pissed", but that totally new, original and accurate depiction of our country has me all hot and bothered for your new book... You think I can get a subscription to Newsmax or National Review with the $4.95 I plan on spending for this book too?)
Chris: Lets talk some of the big issues now, what do you think of the nomination of Elena Kagan?
Newt: I think the President should withdrawal it. I think the very fact that she lead the effort, which was repudiated unanimously by the Supreme Court to block the American military from Harvard Law School...is wrong.
(Mr Speaker, I have to admit, your writings and accounts of American Politics has a unique and interesting manner of vacillating between fact and fiction in such a dramatic fashion that it is destined to be a best seller....who do you fashion your writing style after...in other words, who is your writing mentor?)
[Newt: Dan Brown.]
(in essence... Politics is the LoveChild of Hypocrisy and Irony, isn't it?
Nothing More, Nothing Less!)
