The fundraising quarter ends in just hours. If you're like me, your email and voicemail have been flooded with last-minute appeals from candidates.
We've met the goals we set for the Orange to Blue candidates -- which means it's time to move the goalposts again. We're looking to get to 1265 contributions for Jack Conway, 200 for Alan Grayson, 175 for Joe Garcia, 625 for Ann McLane Kuster, and 650 for Manan Trivedi.
Don't feel bad if you can only give a little. Your willingness to pitch in at all will be counted. Right now, we're setting our goals not in dollars but in contributions. That enables more of us to be counted equally, and the comment threads of this fundraising drive have included college students and people going to their change jars.
DemFromCT has also offered $100 in matching money: We'll put a comment in the thread and he'll give $10 for each of the first 10 people to chime in on that subthread saying they've contributed.
If you want to see better Democrats, contributing now to the Orange to Blue candidates is a great step to take.
Update: Jack Conway crosses the 1265 mark! The others are in striking distance. (9:15 EDT)
Update 2: And Alan Grayson and Joe Garcia have crossed 200 and 175, respectively. (9:22 EDT)
Update 3: There goes Ann McLane Kuster over the 625 line! Manan Trivedi is close, people. Just a couple more contributions will do it. (9:43 EDT)
