Hello all,
Up front disclosure, I am the photographer for the Rebecca Schneider Campaign. I am not in District 6 so I cannot vote for her but you don't need to be in District 6 to come protest in front of Jeff Flake's office on the 21st.
From her campaign website
Before the bill even got to the Senate, YOUR Congressman (Jeff Flake) voted to cut unemployment benefits to the thousands of men and women who can't find work.
This vote was not only fiscally irresponsible, but downright wrong!
The Rebecca Schneider for Congress campaign will be staging a protest in front of Jeff Flake's Mesa Office. We will be wearing cardboard barrels, since Mr. Flake doesn't seem to care if his constituents lose their last remaining lifeline and self respect.
Join us on Wednesday, July 21th from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., 1640 S. Stapley Drive, Mesa 85204.
Come dressed in grungy T-shirt and shorts. Barrels will be provided on site.
Come out and support Rebecca and make a statement against selfish Republicans and their horrible votes on unemployment.
Rebecca is staging her second run against Flake, the first time she garnered 33% of the vote I believe and it would be wonderful to have a librarian instead of a lazy liar in office for once.
If you are in District 6 in AZ Rebecca well also be having a house party this month. Rodney Glassman and other big names in the AZ political world should be there.
Thanks and I hope to see some Kossacks in barrels.
Thanks!

Here is some background on Rebecca from her Facebook page:
Born in 1963 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Rebecca Schneider grew up in rural western Pennsylvania in a middle class neighborhood. Rebecca graduated from Mars High School in 1982 and Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. During the course of attending college and working two, sometimes three jobs to pay her way, she set the course of her career when she began working in the library and currently works as a Library Supervisor for Arizona State University Libraries.
Working with people in many arenas, Rebecca has experience forging common ground, finding consensus and enacting solutions which benefit all parties.
Prior to moving to Arizona in 2001, Rebecca Schneider lived and worked in a small town which, at one time, had been dubbed "the home of drive-by shootings". Thankfully, the police did their job and cleared out the criminal element, but the reputation lingered and businesses and homeowners fled.
Schneider took up a quest, while working at the town library, to change the town’s image. She recruited and coordinated with the Mayor's office, Borough Council, the school districts, the library, the police and fire departments, state government, local business, other citizens and, critically, the media to create community events that brought many diverse groups together for a common goal of community building.
Regularly staging positive events lead to good news about the community being disseminated and eventually served to replace the town’s tarnished image. The project was successful. Businesses returned, people began buying and renting homes again and visitors were no longer afraid to arrive after dark!
Rebecca has a long history of working within and with government entities to achieve success for the organizations and communities by which she has been employed. She has experience managing budgets as well as personnel as part of her management of a Maricopa County Branch Library in addition to her current supervisory position at ASU. Schneider brought together business, government and private foundation groups to raise the funds necessary to build a new library building in Sun Lakes, Arizona. She will use those same skills to bridge the aisle in Congress and foster relationships to enact legislation that doesn't undermine our Constitutional rights while providing true security to our nation.
