My name is Donna Thomas, from Vermont. I was at Lamar Dixon from Saturday, Sept. 17th to Wednesday, Sept. 21st. Four short days that went on forever. By the time I left Wednesday, I felt like I wasn't just leaving, I was escaping. Now that I've had a couple days at home, some sleep, some food, a bath, I am desperate to go back. Now, I understand soldiers, at least somewhat.

I have quickly thrown up this blog
http://lamardixonvolunteers.blogspot.com so that any volunteers that need a place to vent, to cry, to share, to find others who shared this crazy time with you, would have a place to go. It is bare bones at the moment, but if there is enough interest, I will fill it out.
I think it is important for all of us to share what we saw, what we felt, etc., before we begin to dismiss it all as just a dream.
Let's see what happens.
Pass this web address to any volunteers you are in contact with!
Love,
Donna Thomas
