Yes, under Obama, some things have changed arguably for the better. But so much of our cause has been sold out for such precious little change, which brings us now to what I believe is the tipping point
The question is:
Elizabeth Warren?
And Obama's answer, and his willingness to fight are what I see as the tipping point in this movement.
If Obama picks someone else for this critical consumer protection job, or gives us another pathetic effort like we saw on health care reform for her confirmation, I think it will be the last straw for us "dirty fucking hippies".
It will be for me, as I no longer have the emotional resilience now the desire to be an accomplice to mediocrity, avarice and The New Improved Evil(tm) that keeps winning the day.
You can call me every name in the book if you please, but this is the line in the sand.
Appoint and fight (and goddamn it I MEAN FUCKING FIGHT) for her. And I will soldier on. Anything less, is just not acceptable.
I am only one person, therefore to the Dem leadership (and I am sure to some or many on DK), I am meaningless, but I really do not think I am alone feeling this way.
Taking a dive on Warren will be the one defeat too far.
