Just so you know, and you probably already do: EVERY SINGLE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY DRAMATICALLY OVER-ESTIMATES THE VALUE OF MARIJUANA RECOVERED IN BUSTS. Not to mention a little-known fact that has pissed some of us off for years: the DEAblows taxpayers dollars to eradicate "ditchweed", a variety of hemp plants found in midwestern states, leftovers from when industrial hemp was still legal in this insane country.
The actual 'street value' for the cannabis taken is always substantially lower than what's reported to the clueless media. It's just a way of inflating the importance of the 'bust', and justifying our ongoing war on (some) drugs.

An in-law of MSNBC's Chris Matthews has been arrested and charged in connection with an $8.1 million drug bust.
The 79-foot sailboat Sarah Moira was heading to the US from Jamaica on Nov. 21 when it was intercepted by federal agents, the Cape Cod Times reported. Authorities seized 4,497 pounds of marijuana and arrested the boat's captain, James Ormonde Staveley-O'Carroll, and his crew.
"The captain of the vessel and the target of a federal probe is 58-year-old James Ormonde Staveley-O'Carroll, a shipbuilder and self-described firebrand liberal, whose daughter, Sarah, is married to Michael K. Matthews, the son of MSNBC 'Hardball' host Chris Matthews," the paper reported.
This article gives credit to Homeland Security for the best. I don't know about you, but I feel a LOT safer now that we stopped this marijuana terrorist from entering the country with cannabis. Whew, that was a close one!
["But what about all the weed being grown here or imported from Mexico? We can never win a war against a plant?"
Oh, shut up, yes we can. The problem is, we aren't giving enough cash to the DEA, even though Obama's most recent budget increased DEA expenditures. And something tells me the money won't be used to get 'smart on crime', to quote newly minted Democratic AG for CA Kamala Harris]
It's safe to say that the end result of this trial ain't gonna end like willie nelson's recent pot bust ended.

More people were killed in prohibition-related violence in Mexico last year than died in the war in Afghanistan, according to year-end reports from both countries. In Afghanistan, more than 140,000 US and NATO are in the ninth year of a guerrilla war with thousands of Taliban fighters flush with profits from the opium trade, while in Mexico, more than 50,000 federal troops are engaged in the fourth year of a fight with the so-called cartels, who are also at war with each other.
