Had an exchange here recently and someone proclaimed 75% of Americans are morons.
If you dont get that over 3/4's of the population of EVERY state are morons, uninformed, or uninformed morons, than I'm afraid you're the one whose not reality based, friend.

Each American citizen was raised the way they were, influenced by people they've been in contact with, and think about things in a particular way based on information they've processed. Many simply believe what their fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, or people they've looked up to, etc., have told them, or what media folks have said based on the way politics are framed in the MSM. But does that mean they're morons? Or just uninformed and/or misinformed? Is there a difference between stupidity, and being uninformed?
Think about the people you're familiar with in day to day life: the local grocer, the post office clerk, the wait staff at your local bar/restaurant, police officers, firefighters, teachers--do you really think these people you come into contact with day to day are morons? Do you really believe that if they were led to examine the facts of how government currently operates, that they'd have no sense of whether it's good or bad for them and their loved ones, or what might be done to remedy the situation?
I've seen time and again people post comments like the one above. Some here have an abstract notion in mind that this is a nation of morons, rather than one of dynamic sapient beings who have simply been lied to and misinformed for a few generations.
If you profess yourself to be liberal, progressive, and then at the same time believe Americans are a bunch of morons, that's something to think about.
